Meet Nahla Ariela Aubrey

Halle Berry finally gave us all what we were waiting for....pics of her little princess Nahla!!!

Halle, accompanied by her mom and security, took Nahla to the Los Angeles zoo.

These are the first pictures of Nahla that really show how beautiful she is. Halle opted not to sell her baby's pictures to any magazines after her birth in March but that did not stop the anticipation of a first glance.

Halle was also sporting a dubious looking diamond ring on her all important finger. Word is that she bought the ring at a flea market - I'm not buying it either.

Fox News Fixes Solange for her On-Air Blub

Just this past week, the net was a buzz with the Solange incident where she corrected a reporter when the reporter did absolutely nothing wrong.

Well, the lovely folks over at Fox News had nothing but nice things to say to dear Solange.

The Latino Girls Rock The Vote

Three of arguably the most beautiful Latino women got together this past Wednesday in Denver, Colorado to rally the Latino population in the US to execute their right to vote.

The three looked absolutely stunning at the event which also saw appearances by Wilma Valderrama and Fat Joe.

Is it just me or does Jessica look really tired in her eyes???

I guess all those late nights with baby Honor Marie has her pooped.

Blake Lively does Letterman

Gossip Girl Blake Lively made an appearance at the Letterman show last night and her entry adnd exit dresses were like night and day.

On arrival, Blake wore a cute mini-dress with heels while after the taping she emerged looking elegant yet youthful.

The second season of Gossip Girl airs Sept 1, on the CW.

Rihanna Is Broke!!!!

... at least that is the word from an ousted accountant who seems to have had one too many bottles of haterade.

Rihanna's ex-accountant claims that the Grammy award winner has only $20,000 left to her name due to the old adage of "you have to spend money to make money".

Patricia Williams, the disgruntled accountant, claims that despite Rihanna making millions through her various endorsements, appearances and album sales, the singer had to spend most of that money on videos and production. Williams went on to speak about Marc Jordan, Rihanna's PR agent:

“I don’t want to disrespect Marc’s name. He is a fantastic manager and genuinely believes in Rihanna. But he uses her money to fund her future projects because he believes he can break her in the world-market. Her album sales are not nearly as close to her single sales and he knows that if she is only known as a ’singles artist’ she will only be as good as her last hit."

From my perspective it seems to me that Rihanna has already broken into the "world market". In case Williams had not realised, Rihanna spends more time outside of the US than ever before so if there is more to the world than that please let me know.

Also, my very informed sources (yes I have sources now) tell me this is all a lie. Rihanna has financial resources that she has not yet started to utilise...i.e stop telling lies about the girl.

Besides, if i were poor (which I am), I would not love shopping nearly as much as this girl does. Nor would I fly everyone of my family members and my best friends to visit me, just because I missed them. So the proof I guess is in the pudding.

Solange puts her foot in her mouth

For years Solange has tried to break away from the shadow of her older, more popular sister Beyonce, but believe you me this young'un has a lonnnng way to go.

She has definitely broken away from the ugly duckling with the braids to a daring fashionista but she still needs some (Read: a lot) fine tuning.

This morning Solange was interviewed by a Fox affiliate and prior to the start of the interview, Solange was asked, off-air, if she would comment on the recent closure of Jay-Z's 40/40 club in Vegas.

Solange declined to comment but had some stern words for the reporter when the broadcast went live not realising that the Jay-Z question was posed BEFORE the show went live. She was never really able to bring herself back from that and her discomfort showed throughout.

At least she did confirm Jay-Z and Beyonce are married but I think we already knew that. Have a watch.

Michael Phelps is EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that I'm really complaining, although I do prefer to see him sporting a speedo as opposed to the zip-shirt he's wearing here.

As if winning 8 gold medals at the Olympics wasn't enough, dear Phelps will be hosting the season opener for Saturday Night Live with musical guest Lil Wayne.

He also has an appearance scheduled for the Leno show and this morning appeared on the CBS Early Show.

Now if only we can get something for Usain to appear on....

Happy Birthday Michael!!!

On the eve of his 50th (yes 50th) birthday, a computer generated image of what Michael Jackson would look like, if he had not had all that surgery, has been released.

Now I'm not so sure I would have proceeded with all that surgery if I knew this would be the outcome. Afterall, it's really not that bad. He looks like Jackson. Although I guess that's what he was trying to avoid.

Then again who cares...he's the frikking King of Pop.

American Idol gets a New Judge

So a brutally honest Simon, an overly nice Paul and the big Dawg himself Randy won't be the only persons that this year's crop of Idol wannabees will have to contend with.


Kara DioGuardi has joined Paula, Simon and Randy as a fourth judge for the 8th Season of the cult hit.

Kara is a songwriter and producer who has penned hits such as Nick Lachey's, What's Left of Me as well as produced songs for Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion and Enrique Iglesias to name a few.

The 37-year-old will sit alongside Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson and use her background as a songwriter/producer in the eighth season of American Idol come January 2009.

My only question is who will break the ties now???

These pictures have now made me uber excietd about the premiere of 90210 next Tuesday.

It looks like (former??) rivals Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty put their differences aside for at least a few minutes to do an absolutely fabulous photo shoot for EW and boy do they deliver.

The girls sat with EW to dish about how they came to reprise the roles they made famous. Shannen even revealed that althought the two were not in constant communication over the years, that she did in fact vote for Jennie during her stint on Dancing With the Stars.


Of course it wouldn't have been a story if Shannen's rivalry with Tori Spelling wasn't mentioned.


EW :In Tori Spelling's book sTORI Telling, she tells some pretty harsh stories about you, Shannen. Did you read the book? DOHERTY: I will censor myself out of respect for Jennie because she's friends with Tori. I got passages sent to me and a vast majority of it is incredibly exaggerated. Maybe it's a difference of how I was raised. I just don't believe you write personal on-set experiences in a book. For me, when you work it's almost a sacred experience whether you get along with everyone or not. In 27 years of acting I've never sold out one of my cast members. Ever. And I will stick to that.

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince

Now I'm sure by now everyone who was eagerly anticipating the 6th installment of the Harry Potter movies on November 21st, was thoroughly dissapointed about the studio's decision to push the premiere to July next year.

The reasoning being last year's writer's strike. Production on a variety of other movies had been delayed due to the strike and as a result, Warner needed a big budget film to help buoy its summer season.

So until we can get our fill next year, enjoy the trailer below.

90210 Reunion

Jennie Garth still looks as pretty as her Kelly Taylor days (minus the bad eyebrows circa 90-91).

The CW held a fancy soiree for its 90210 spinoff on Malibu shore. Both Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth were in attendance but were not photographed together.

There is sooo much hype for this new show it is questionable whether or not it can live up to the expectation. I for one will be watching critically...yea right I'm going to be eating it all up.

It premieres Sept. 2 on the CW.

Rachel and Ryan - Together Again

Now this is one couple that I'm happy to see back together.

Since their Notebook romp I've always felt like they would be the perfect couple (although life seldom is perfect). So when they decided to part ways last year I being the perfect spectator to this union couldn't quite figure why.

But R&R are BACK!!!

The Canadia duo was spotted around Toronto while getting something to eat near Rachel's home.

The two started dating in 2004, after meeting during the filming of their romantic film, The Notebook. During their relationship, Gosling spoke highly of McAdams saying, “She’s inspired me to do so much. She’s the most discerning person I’ve ever met. She’ll read a script 100 times. She’s relentless.”

This is one lady who seemed to have been forever preggers...


Gwen finally gave birth to her second baby boy on August 21 in LA. The new baby, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, joins big brother Kingston.

Gwen's father-in-law Douglas Rossdale told press, “Everyone is just so very happy. It’s fantastic news, and I’m just so happy. I’m always proud of Gavin and my grandchildren.”

It seems like Gwen and Gavin decided to continue to their Bob Marley tribute with the naming of this baby. Nesta was the second name of the late reggae singer. Kingston's name also played homage to Bob as his name is the capital of Jamaica, the singer's birthplace.

I can't wait to see those pics...

I'm Back Baby!!!!!!!!!!

Wowee!!!!


It's been just over a month since I last got to blog here and boy have I missed it. Things have been sooo hectic with work and carnival but the summer is soon over and the fun is winding down.

Still glad to see that some things haven't changed since my hiatus.

Gwen Stefani is still preggers and looks like she is about to pop out her baby (babies???) anyday now...


... and the Jonas Brothers are still dominating the teen set with every move they make so much so that they have been given their own wax figures at Madame Tussaud's in Washington.


Some things have touched my heart since being on blog holiday though such as the outpouring of support towards Heath Ledger's little girl, Matilda Rose. Heath never updated his will after his he had Matilda so as a result there were no provisions made for her future. However, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have made sure that this princess will never want for anything in her life.

The actors came together for the film “The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus”, where they all played versions of Ledger’s character but instead of taking a huge payday for the roles they played, they all decided to donate their salaries to Matilda Rose.

So at least Heath's pride and joy (and his mini-me) has a bright future ahead of her despite not being able to have her dad around.
Looks like this recap is going to take on a life of it's own so here's to future posting...
