Ok so American Idol is supposed to be a LIVE show but last night Paula acted wird, even for her...

After the contestants had all sung their first song, she critiqued Jason Castro as if he had performed twice. What was up with that??

I figured the net would have been all a buzz with this one today and I was right. My other thought was that maybe she had seen a dress rehearsal and had made her notes based on that, but who knows.

Only yesterday I was saying how absolutely ageless Madonna seems, but after seeing her new video 4 Minutes, I do believe it is possible to stop the effects of aging. Madonna is definitely showing that she can go up against the best of them.

Leona Lewis is Artistic

Leona made an appearance at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Australia today where she was also expected to perform. Leona posed for the media before her performance.

This white gown is absolutely regal. Leona has admitted to finding cheap shoes easily because she is a vegan, but does that explain why she wore no shoes under her gown?

A Gossip Girl Wedding

I love how there are always soooo many behind the scenes shots for Gossip Girl. It's always loads of fun to them at work, whether it's shots of them on the steps at the Met or all dressed up (like they have been recently) for (presumably) Lily van der Woodsen's wedding.

It would be cool to be a part of their wardrobe crew, just to see those fabulous dresses that the girls are always wearing.

The guys usually look pretty darn nice too...and oh what would I give to be a fly on the wall in that Chase Crawford's dressing room.

Gary Dourdan Arrested!!!

Oh no!!!

What's wrong with hollywood stars that once they are away from the spotlight for a bit their re-entry always seems to be marked by an arrest???

Former CSI star Gary Dourdan was arrested on Monday in Palm Springs on suspicion of possessing heroin, cocaine, ecstacy and other prescription drugs. He was asleep in his car at 5:21 AM when law enforcement approached his vehicle and arrested him. Dourdan was taken to the Palm Springs jail and was later bailed out on $5,000.

This incident comes a few weeks after it was announced that Gary would not be renewing his contract with CSI after it expired this year.

Whenever I see him my mind immediately flashes back to 1993 and him as Janet J's love interest in her Again video....

Take a Bow video

Rihanna released her new video for the single Take A Bow. I still haven't decided if I like the song, but the video is pretty decent. Rihanna just seems to be everywhere now.

There has been a LOT of talk over this weekend about the Vanity Fair photoshoot that Miley Cyrus posed for where she appears to be nude with just a sheet draped over her.

Everyone and their grandmother are now apologising for these pictures which in my honest opinion should never have been taken. Come on folks. This child (cause yes that's what a 15-year old is) should never have been given permission to do such a shoot. Now everyone is talking about how artistic the shoot was supposed to be and how innocence was to be portrayed - she's 15....that's how you portray innocence. There is nothing added that is needed.

And shame on her parents for exploiting her like this. They were on set with her and supposedly condone this "art" but if it were my child (if I had a child) she would have been in a Barbie shirt with pigtails. But that's just me.

Some behind the scenes shots have been released to quell the impact of the first released shots and yes Miley is in jeans and I'm guessing a tube top of sorts under the sheet but the implicated intention behind the final shots says a lot more.

The poor girl needs some direction. QUICKLY.

Mariah at Tennessee movie Premiere

Mariah Carey attended the movie premiere for Tennessee which she stars in over the weekend.

I completely love the casual yet sophisticated look she was going for at the premiere and she pulled it off nicely. I must admit she was getting a bit predictable with her recent style choices (short, tight, cropped jacket). One thing I don't quite get though is....what's up with the band-aid? This is the second time I can recall seeing her with this thing on and it seems to be the same spot too.

Leona Lewis looked stunning this past weekend down under. She is such a pretty girl with such a massive voice. Don't care how I try I can't seem to get Bleeding Love out of my head. It's sooo darn catchy.
Leona told reporters that its easy for her to find cheap shoes because she's a vegan - so leather shoes just aren't an option. I think Ms. Lewis' shoes are pretty cutsie. I wonder if they come in a 7.5??

Who would ever believe just by looking at Madonna that she's almost 50. I mean this lady has definitely stood the test of time with respect to how well she has kept herself over the years.

Besides her body, Madonna has also been able to keep people talking with her music as she is garnering rave reviews for her recent effort Hard Candy.

And why not?

I think it's safe to say that Her Madgesty has the title "Queen of Pop" on lock as long as she keeps making albums.

SIX weeks post-partum never looked so good.

Halle Berry showed off her gorgeous post-partum body on Sunday at the Beverly Hills hotel in California. She attended the Silver Rose Awards and Auction Gala which is a fundraiser that supports efforts in continuing to provide critical programs and services for families affected by domestic violence.

Halle and her even gorgeous-er boyfriend Gabriel Aubrey welcomed a baby girl, Nahla earlier this year.

Rihanna eats real people food!!!

I absolutely love it when celebrities are seen doing things that non-celebrities partake in daily and this is no exception.

Rihanna was seen at the Beverly Centre is Los Angeles over the weekend with her best friend (not pictured) getting her fill of KFC. I love it. Now I don't have to feel too guilty about the snack box i had last weekend.
While I'm absolutely loving the Marilyn Monroe T-shirt and the punk rock bracelet Rih has been wearing of late, I'm not sure that she has completely sold me on her pink and black, 1980's polka dot scarf but it seems to be working for her. Rih-Rih was later seen sans the KFC (but unfortuantely still with the scarf) at LAX. She always looks so relaxed and happy and doesn't seem to care who likes or dislikes her style choices.

Pete Wentz asked permission to marry Ashlee

This is really sweet.

Papa Simpson was asked for permission by Pete Wentz before he popped the question to Ashlee. I thought this stuff only still happened in movies.

Papa Joe confirmed that Pete did in fact ask and told People, "(Pete) did ask me. I told him that I would be honored to have him as part of my family."

I wonder if the BF will ask my dad permission before he asks me to marry him?????

Hip hop's newest mega-married-couple were seen last night courtside at the Rockets/ Suns in game Houston.

Even though they have not said whether or not they did do the deed, all reports still point to yes they did. From Mary J. Blige congratulating them while on tour, to Rihanna saying it was a complete shock to her.

Married or not... i think that they have long been acknowledged as hip hop's biggest couple so the marriage wouldn't really make a difference.

On a side note- I really like B's hair like that.

I want to be 42 too

What the heck...i want to look just like Stacey Dash at 42. She looks FABULOUS. As a mother of 2, Ms. Dash really has taken some good care of herself over the years.

But lest we forget, Stacey was in her late twenties when she played 17 in clueless.

Actually, now that i really study it....she doesn't look like she has aged at all...

Time for me to go and re-new that gym membership.

Rihanna had the most adorable date for lunch today. After what I'm sure was a very lovely meal (only the best for Ri-Ri), Rihanna headed to a recording studio to do what she does best.

Britney gives back

Word is that Ms. Spears was so touched by Idol Gives Back that she donated $25,000 to the cause. An insider told Life & Style magazine that Britney wasn't familiar with malaria and googled the disease. She was reportedly horrified that children were dying from malaria and she hoped to make a difference with her donation.

This is another positive for Britney. Glad to see she's graduated from pink wigs and erratic driving.

American Idol Spoiler

American Idol kept us in good suspense tonight. From the very beginning I kept saying that tonight couldn't possibly be an elimination because it was Charity week and come on having an elimination this week would have been like throwing salt in an open wound. But they did it and the bottom three completely threw me for a loop.

So who went home???


This completely shocked me. I honestly had Michael to go pretty far - not necessarily the winner but far enough.

Oh well as is common with Idol rejects now, he'll probably end up with a recording deal and eventually be successful anyhow so good for him.

Rihanna and Her "Friend" exposed

Despite the fact that both Ri-Ri and Chris Brown have been trying to drill in everyone's head that they are just friends, Jordin Sparks may have gone and spilled the beans for these undercover lovers.

Jordin, who currently has a duet with Chris, revealed in an UK magazine Young Voices this month that Chirs and Rihanna are in a relationship.

Are Chris Brown and Rihanna dating?

Yeah, they are. It was really cool because I walked on the set and she was sitting there with Chris Brown and I was like I can’t believe she’s here. She came and she told me that she loved No Air, and that it was one of her favourite songs. It was really cool hearing that from one of my peers. She just wanted to support him.

Did it feel weird doing intimate scenes with Chris Brown with his girlfriend watching you?

(Laughs) It was hard at first, but then I said, ‘you know what? I have to work!’ It had to look like I was in love with him, so I had to do it. Hopefully she won’t kill me!! (Laughs)

Britney's weekend affair

Ms. Spears got to spend some quality time with the two most important guys in her life - her boys. She was allowed to play with them in the presence of the boys' nanny (and not a court appointed monitor as in the past).

Despite coming this far, Brit still has not been allowed to have the boys overnight as yet. Kevin's lawyers are trying to create a consistent environment for the boys but one step at a time.

So after much speculation and reporting, we, John Public, are still no wiser about whether or not Jigga and his main Lady Ms. B did indeed get married over the weekend. However, reports have now flourished from 'have the got married?' to 'they got married because she is pregnant.'

Come on now. Can we get to the point where we accept that people want and deserve privacy without trying to put a negative spin on everything. (not saying that a cute lil R&B prince would be a bad thing). But if they did get married, just let them enjoy it with all the happiness and blessings it's supposed to be filled with.

Toni Braxton hospitalised

Oh dear!!

Singer Toni Braxton was hospitalised Monday night following her vegas show at the Flamingo Hospital. It is not currently known what caused the hospitalisation, but Toni confessed earlier this year to be suffering from pericarditis, an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart.

She is currently a spokesperson for the American Heart Association.

Toni is one of the all time greatest singers so i hope that she pulls through this like a trouper.

Day 1

Long ago I had promised myself that i would venture into this world of "Celebrity Gossip" but i didn't want to be scathing and catty with it so I did some research (i.e spent insane amounts of time searching the web and reading other blogs) and tried to find middle ground.

This is the product of that 'dream'. I hope that people join me on this journey, if not i'll be writing for myself and well...that's never any fun. So here goes...
